In London, during the 1950s, the tube stations were covered with the slogan "A Brave New London."
Mary Quant took it as direction for her designs and created a revolution in fashion, which we all know now today as Mod fashion. Mod fashion
is filled with a-line shift dresses, miniskirts, thick blocked stripes, opaque leggings, skinny jeans and pants, boxy coats, etc. But don't forget, Mod clothing
was about dressing for the future and so one could say that any forward and future looking fashion is part of the Mod style.
Brave New London is a speciality shop of T.I.L. Darling - The Online Clothing Boutique and we aim to provide not only the classic mod dresses and clothing, but also unique
vintage and indie clothes.
Mod-Clothing.com is a really big fan of both Joseph Gorden-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel and so we have really big hopes for 500 Days Of Summer, which opens in wide release
on July 17th.
The Boat That Rocked already premiered in London so we're all waiting for it in the United States. Unfortunately, it's going to be quite a while: 28 August. At least they're billing it as a summer
movie. It's from Richard Curtis who made Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill, Bridget Jones's Diary, and Love Actually. Of course, from a fashion sense, it's all about MOD CLOTHING!!!
Usually, we showcase more modern music, but we were feeling a little nostalgic today. After all, we sell mod clothing here at mod-clothing.com. Here is our favorite Beatles track of all time. Well, at least for today.
